(UEI), the worldwide leader in wireless control technology for entertainment and smart home devices, proudly announces the launch of the Babylon Green remote control, developed in close collaboration with Sunrise and Liberty Global.
The Babylon Green remote represents a new industry benchmark for sustainable design. Built from recycled plastics, delivered in fully recyclable packaging, and powered by UEI’s proprietary UE961 chipset, the remote sets a new standard in both performance and energy efficiency.
Specifically developed by Universal Electronics for remote control applications, the UE961 enables ultra-low power consumption, resulting in a battery life of more than 5 years, depending on customer usage patterns. This means most consumers won’t need to replace the batteries for the entire lifecycle of their subscription.
Babylon Green is the result of smart engineering and a shared commitment to sustainability. Our goal was to create a remote that didn’t just perform brilliantly — but did so with minimal environmental impact and we are delighted with the result.
